In February 2013 the long-awaited ski centre was opened as one phase of the development of the Kiviõli ash hill. Here you can find the longest downhill runs in the Baltics, the biggest snowboarding park, good food and equipment and proper après-ski entertainment.

Kiviõli Adventure Centre

The centre is located in the northern corner of the town of Kiviõli, 133 kilometres from Tallinn, in the county of Ida-Virumaa, which is full of contrasts, with beautiful natural scenery alternating with former and present industrial landscapes.

It took 12 years to transfer one 6.2-tonne ash hill into a site for world class sports and outdoor activities with skiing, moto-cross, cycling and adventure sports and international competitions.

The Kiviõli centre offers:

  • the longest downhill ski runs in Estonia (400-700m);
  • the biggest snowboarding park in the Baltics with three different levels of difficulty: Pro, Medium and Easy;
  • 120-metre snowboarding half-pipe built into the hill;
  • separate lift and easier learning slope for children and beginners.

There are two 200-metre slopes with different designs, offering thrills for those who like snowtubing. The 2.5-kilometre jogging/cross-country skiing track that goes around the hill has a versatile profile and is suitable for both easy-going athletes and those who want more adrenalin.
