Mushrooming, Berry-picking and CookingFavorites
Whether your Wild Food Trip is mushrooming or berry-picking depends on seasonality. Both trips are 3-4 hours long guided trips followed by collective cooking of the wild food you have picked during the trip.
A local guide leads throughout the trips, talking about different mushrooms, helping you to identify the best species and teaching you the special cooking techniques that are best for making dishes from mushrooms and cranberries.
Meet: Pick-up from hotels in Pärnu at 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. or at the visitor centre of Soomaa national park if you use own car.
Departure / season: every day from August to November
Group size: Minimum 2 people, maximum 15
What to bring: You should wear comfortable clothes and footwear. Take a basket and a small knife for picking wild food in the forest!
